One reason why I wanted to write this blog post now is because a lot of people are starting to talk about the upcoming holidays such as Black Friday and Thanksgiving and Christmas. Well, the new year is right around the corner which means its time to plan for 2024 so you can start the year off with a bang for your business!
And if you plan to start the new year off right, now is the time to start planning. I know that I can be hard to think of especially if you’re a busy mom like me. I’m focused on Halloween and getting my kids ready for trick or treating. But, now is the perfect time to plan for quarter 1. So, here are my top tips on how to plan for a successful blog in 2024.

The first way to plan for a successful blog in 2024 is to create a blog plan. You may be asking, “What exactly is a blog plan?” A blog plan is simply you mapping out what you’re going to blog, when you’re going to blog, and how you’re going to blog.
For instance, if you’re a busy stay at home mom, you would first map out your schedule for the week. Then, you would want to include the times during the week when you could work on your blog. If it’s only one day a week, then that’s the day you would write your blog post, post it to your website, and also schedule your social media and Pinterest posts.

Now, that you have your blog plan set, you need to start thinking about making money right away. For too long, we’re taught that money comes later and that you need to first create a lot of content. I really feel that this holds us back from making an income with our blogs right away.
One of the first things you should do as a blogger, is make a plan to make an income so that you can make a profit with your blog. For instance, what products do you want to make as a blogger? Will you create digital products such as ebooks, online courses, printables, etc.? You should map out what exactly you plan to create and when you will sell them in 2024.
Another thing to consider is how will you promote your digital products? Will you participate in bundles, summits, and other online events? Or will you also rely on selling your digital products to those on your email list?
By mapping this all out for the year, you can set your goals and initiatives for the new year and figure out what money you will have coming in as a blogger. It’s also important to have multiple streams of income so if one digital product doesn’t sell as well, you will have maybe affiliate income or ad revenue to add more income to your bottom line.
#3) How to Plan for a Successful Blog in 2024 – Create a Plan to Grow Your Traffic
Now, that you have your blog plan set, how are you going to get people to your blog and to see your offers? Some people would put this step first, but its important that you have content first and digital products so that when you do have traffic, people will have something to buy.
What’s the point in having the content, if you don’t have anyone that can see it? By creating a plan to grow your traffic, you can make sure that people will see your offers throughout the year and on an ongoing basis. For instance, will you plan to participate in at least one bundle a month so you can grow your audience? Or will you collaborate with others for freebie swaps and other collaboration events?
The best plan to grow your traffic is also going to include a plan to grow your email list. This is the foundation for many bloggers on how they make an income. They sale to their email list because they have an audience that respects their authority and wants to invest in their products and services. So, make sure you also have a plan in place to grow your email list.
